Back to the daily grind

I’m now back at work, having returned in the early hours of yesterday from Morocco, where I successfully climbed Mount Toubkal, North Africa’s highest mountain at 4,167 metres.  It was a tough old hill: after a long walk in and up to the hut, we then had to use crampons for the last 1,000 metres to the top because at this time of year there’s still quite a bit of snow around.

A fantastic trip and great experience, but having seen what real poverty and hard work look like in Morocco, you can rest assured that I’ll never again complain about any aspect of my daily grind.  Now where’s that vat return?
