This includes all insolvency services, business advisory engagements, and our proprietary diagnostic service known as the 6-Lens Review™.

How We Collect Data

Use of Data for the 6-Lens Review™

Where you request a 6-Lens Review™, your data will be used to:

  • Perform a structured diagnostic assessment using six expert perspectives
  • Generate tailored insights to help you understand your situation, regain control, and assess recovery or exit options
  • Where relevant, create anonymised or redacted summaries for internal analysis or use with professional tools such as VAi (our insolvency co-pilot)

All data used in the 6-Lens Review™ process is treated as confidential. Only individuals directly involved in your review (which may include regulated advisers or approved sector specialists) will have access to the unredacted data.

Lawful Basis for Processing

We process your data under one or more of the following lawful bases:

  • Consent – where you have provided consent for specific processing activities
  • Contract – where processing is necessary for the performance of a contract with you
  • Legal obligation – to meet our regulatory or statutory responsibilities
  • Legitimate interest – where processing is necessary for the purpose of providing business advisory or insolvency services, and your interests or fundamental rights do not override those interests

Sharing Your Data

We will never sell your personal information. We may share your data with:

  • Regulatory bodies (e.g. ICAEW, the Insolvency Service)
  • VAi Solutions Ltd (our sister company providing AI-powered analysis) – where relevant to a diagnostic review or advisory work
  • HMRC, RPS, or other government bodies, as required by law
  • Legal, financial, or professional advisers, where relevant to your case and with appropriate safeguards
  • Sector Specialists brought in as part of the 6-Lens Review™, where necessary and with confidentiality agreements in place

Data Storage and Retention

We store your data securely using encrypted systems. We retain data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, including legal, regulatory, and record-keeping requirements.

Where a formal insolvency procedure is entered into, data is retained in accordance with insolvency legislation. For advisory-only cases, we typically retain data for 6 years.

Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have rights including:

  • The right to access the personal data we hold about you
  • The right to request correction of inaccurate data
  • The right to request erasure where there is no lawful basis for continuing to process it
  • The right to object to processing in certain circumstances
